Ten years ago, a devastating fire took the lives of Queen Karenisha and King Makero, leaving a young Princess Saderia orphaned.
Nobody knows how the fire started, but it ignited quickly. Too quickly.
In ten years, the truth has never been discovered…
Saderia is a curious 10-year-old tiger Princess. Her Aunt Cia and Uncle Jash have taken over the duties of Queen and King and have raised Saderia since her parents disappeared in a mysterious fire. Saderia’s aunt and uncle don’t understand the sassy, adventurous tiger, which she resents.
At night, though, Saderia is haunted by dark nightmares about the fire – eerie, cryptic dreams that push her to start investigating her parents’ disappearance. As she uncovers strange clues, she soon becomes desperate to know the truth. Could her parents have been murdered? On a quest to uncover the truth about her parents’ disappearance, she soon realizes her forest has many other mysteries when she discovers a dangerous, ancient royal secret regarding her oldest ancestors – a secret that will change not only her life, but the lives of everyone around her.
Saderia doesn’t know who or what to trust, but she is desperate to uncover the secrets of the past. She will do whatever it takes to find the truth.
The thing about me is that I am an author who could not live without books or writing. Writing every day is almost as important to my survival as eating!
When I first get up in the morning, I find some chocolate milk to wake me up, then sit down at my computer and start writing.
The most important thing in my life is a toss-up between my family, my writing, and my fans. I wouldn’t be who I am now without any of them.
I love to travel to magical places in my mind. I don’t often get the chance to travel around to real places, so instead I travel to my own fantasy worlds that exist only in my imagination (and my books!). Who needs reality?
In my spare time, I think about my stories and imagine what will happen next.
One thing I learned about life is that life is short, so you should do what you love while you can and don’t let anything hold you back!
The sole mission I am on this earth is to tell stories and write whimsical fantasy adventure books to entertain kids of all ages.
One little known fact about me that might surprise you is that I actually like playing video games almost as much as I love reading. I blame my dad for that!
My favorite time of day is late at night when my ideas start flowing. Unfortunately, they often start flowing right before I have to go to sleep.
I love to write about sassy royal tigers with a penchant for trouble and a thirst for adventure. Old mysteries about missing royal parents, ancient royal secrets hidden for millennia, and quirky friends with colorful stories of their own are some other things I like to write about – you can find some of those themes in each of the different books in my middle grade fantasy/adventure Saderia Series.
The most difficult aspect about writing is keeping track of everything! With sixteen books planned in my Saderia Series, it takes quite a lot to keep track of everything that has already happened and how it will affect the books I have yet to write. My notes take up about half the space on my computer at this point.
My most favorite aspect about writing is bringing the characters to life, giving them their own voices and stories, and sending them off on the adventures of their lives.
When I became a published author for the first time, I completely flipped out! When I first held The Tiger Princess, the first book in the Saderia Series and my first published novel, in my hands when I was 13 years old, all I could do was stare at it for a good 15 minutes or so, saying ‘Oh my gosh!’ That was how long it took for it to sink in that it was real.
The inspiration behind my book comes from a love of telling stories and a wish to put into words the stories I imagined so that other kids could enjoy them, as well.
The most asked question about my book is one I get a lot at book fairs regarding The Tiger Princess – “You actually wrote it when you were 12?!” The answer is yes! Yes, I did! :)
Sarah Renée has loved writing from an early age. She has been writing short stories since the age of 4, and at the age of 10, she came up with the idea for The Tiger Princess. She wrote the novel when she was 12. She is fascinated with wild animals and the wild world outside her home, and has an obvious great love of tigers. She enjoys spending time with her cats, reading, drawing, and playing her violin when she is not writing. In her free time, she is constantly daydreaming about her many characters, creating new ones, and coming up with interesting adventure story ideas. She is now 17 years old.
